“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Yep both Troy and Astbury look much bigger than they did last season  :thumbsup. Hopefully Troy is feeling more settled in Melbourne now and mentally is 100% focussed on his AFL footy now. It'd be a massive bonus to have a agile 192cm half-forward with a few tricks up his sleeve running around for us once he develops fully and gains more experience.

Sounds like the boys did another run of the Tan today according to BF:

"Went to Punt Rd and found Nason and Griff doing drills with the trainer. Waited for 30 mins and no one else came out :/"

"I went past. Only a few players were doing handball drills. Looks like the recovery group. The others seemed to head towards the tan."

Anyone know how Casserly, Corrie & Keddell are going for that last rookie spot? Haven't seen or heard anything on them.

Some Saints fan on BF was claiming Cass was involved in a driving misdemeanour a week or so ago but there's been no other mention of it so this guy was most likely a troll talking crap.

I think these 3 trialing rookies may be able to play in the NAB Cup so if that's right then I'd guess the club will wait until they see these guys in action before making a decision. We don't have to make a final decision on which one we want until just prior to round 1 I believe.

Yeah they can play NAB. Just haven't heard anyone mention them in any reports and have only seen 1 photo of Cass at training, the other two seem to have gone AWOL.
