We will get murdered by Goldstein anyway. Maric is more competitive so I'd keep him in.

Hampson and Vickery in the same side is like akin to giving Ivan Milat a tourist portfolio to look after.

Carnage.

If Lids is fit play him but as I have said, I hope Dumma does not drop Lennon or Corey Ellis.

Oh well at least if Hampson does play we can then get a rest from the ones with short memories

The seasons shot anyway so won't hurt to see this fraud of a footballer to around again
Whoa Chuck... This suspiciously sound like an opinion.

Enough of that please leave the opinions to others thanks.  :thumbsup

OUT: Batchelor (poor decision maker and can't kick straight anyway and never improves); Hunt (gets caught too often and is also not a good decision maker); Lloyd (probably not good enough because he lacks speed); Newman (just doesn't get it enough or he's played in bad positions); Vickery (just won't chase and no vigour despite all of what's been said but I know Dumma likes him);

Keep: Lennon - no good so far but give him 20 games; Astbury; Grigg but I thought I would never say it and it shows how bad we have become.

IN: Dea, Grimes (quick and often makes good choices and spoils and tries); the younger kids if they are quick and strong enough; Griffith but he needs more grunt; Delidio? Etc. not Arnott,

The Barometer - Round 5
Herald-Sun
May 5, 2015

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK:
Ben Lennon really struggled to get into the game before being subbed out in the third quarter, his replacement Sam Lloyd had little impact, Taylor Hunt is battling and Jake Batchelor could pay the price for some horrible kicking errors.

ON THE CUSP: The Tigers say Brett Deledio is a chance but that seems unlikely. Reece Conca played his first game back from a hamstring injury in the VFL on Saturday and collected 19 disposals and six clearances. Dylan Grimes and Matt Dea are available if backline reinforcements are needed, Liam McBean kicked three goals and Matt Thomas had 30 touches. Nathan Foley, best on ground a week earlier, missed Saturday’s loss to Geelong’s VFL outfit with an unnamed injury.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: The season is far from over at 2-3 but dreams of a top-four finish seem a long way off especially with a tough month ahead starting with North Melbourne, a side Richmond has not beaten since 2011. A sharp improvement in set-shot goalkicking will help, especially early - the Tigers have kicked a combined 3.10 in the past two first quarters. One positive from Saturday’s defeat was some very promising signs from debutant Corey Ellis, don’t expect to see him in the VFL again any time soon.

I don't think Thomas is our future but he sure brings in a big body which is needed against Norf.

Is Conca/deledio available ?

IF so would be good to get these changes

Conca in - Lennon out

Deledio ( don't think he'll be fit ) in - Lloyd out

Griff in - Vickery out

Stick Corey Ellis in the forward line see if he can be that smaller forward we've been needing. Good tackling pressure and will attack the contest. Give him more shots at goal so he gets comfortable.

The whole point of this thread is to say what you think will be the changes.. You're saying they'll bring in Thomas and I didnt so how is it obvious? By the way Thomas is still rookie listed and with Arnott being upgraded is there any room for him?

Why can't we drop Vickery (please) and give McBean a run. Honestly what have we got to lose? He was named to play 2 years ago and got injured. Surely we need to give him a run for a block of 4 games and see how he goes?
Don't use his weight as an excuse, They threw Daniher in at Essendon and he looked out of sorts at the start but they persevered.
McBean 203 cm and 93Kg (from RFC website)
Joe Daniher 201 cm 90 kg

also keep in Lennon, Corey Ellis, they need the games into them, putting Thomas in (if we can) is just short term stuff, Plus it sound like Lids needs another 2 weeks (BWTF would I know??)

Agree with what saying but after hearing Hardwick's remarks at press conference strongly believe Vickery will not be dropped.

RICHMOND

Vice-captain Brett Deledio trained with the main group on Tuesday and showed no sign of the calf injury that has sidelined him since round one. The Tigers are hopeful he can make a much-needed return if he gets through the rest of the week.

Ben Griffiths could also return from a calf injury, placing Ty Vickery's spot in jeopardy after he kicked one goal against Geelong.

Reece Conca made a strong return from a hamstring injury in the VFL and could be called on this week after he was among the reserves' best players with 19 possessions and six clearances.

Matt Dea (20 possessions), Matt McDonough (seven clearances), Shaun Hampson (54 hit-outs) and Matt Thomas (30 possessions and 11 clearances) were others to impress.
