Doesnt their membership include a reserve seat? I suppose most of us hand over $100 bucks a year for the Tiger Fund on top of membership, so Its hard to tell how to measure it all.

As for us, from memory our membership revenue last year of $7,600,000 divided by 53,000 equates to around $143 per membership. So if we reach our target of 60k this year then the additional 7000 members will generate around $1m in extra membership revenue.

and the expected drop in Essendon's membership will bring a similar fall in revenue.

If I remember correctly, Essendank's membership numbers plateau'd at about this same point last year and it was because they actually ran out of game memberships due to the reserved seat factor.  We passed them just before the season opened and this year will probably do it a bit earlier.

Yes that's right Smokes, which is why we should be trying to chase down the Dawks not the Dongers

The way we're going we'll end up 10-12k ahead of last years figure by Round 1. 63-65k would be our target now and a win against Carlton could possibly see us reach 70,000 members this year
