Right now Gold Coast has pick 58, they will give that to Geelong for Zac Smith. I expect that pick 58 to then be tied up in a deal to make Jack Steven a Cats player in 2020.

From Jon Ralph:

I understand North are giving up their first-rounder (8 ) to Melbourne for next year's Dees first-rounder. But get back 26 and 50 this year from Melbourne. Big news but backing in the points value and the Dees just being OK next year to maximise the trade.

So now Melbourne have picks 3 and 8 in this year's draft after pick swap with North. Do the Demons have an ace up their sleeve for a player trade we haven't heard about?

LOL Norf!

Funny if the Dees rebound next year. With the compromised and weaker draft in 2020, that first rounder will be worth nowhere near pick 8 this year.

We could give Melbourne pick 19 + any two of 39,41 and the Butler pick (assuming it is high 40s) in exchange for pick 8

Melbourne would then have moved their 26 to 19 and split 50 into say 41 and 48 (guessing Butler). Plus they have added a first round next year

We go into the top 10 and still have 3 picks in the third

works well but I cant see us doing anything besides sending butler and Menadue off to new homes for free

Latest third hand rumour from Big Footy: We've offered Port next year's first and a later pick (one of this year's I presume) for SPP..... :shh

If Port make the call to go full rebuild (and I think they are realising that's what they need to do) then that's a pretty fair offer.

SPP is not under any circumstances worth a 1st round pick. Barely worth a late 2nd rounder

Exactly

Totally agree WP he doesn't improve out team as he wouldn't be in the best 28.

The Herald Sun understands the Saints and Dockers have agreed on a deal to send St Kilda’s No.10 pick, their future second-rounder and pick 58 (part of Stevens trade) to the Dockers.

The two clubs could also swap future draft picks to round out the trade.

Saints utility Blake Acres could also be thrown into the trade after heading to Perth today to assess a shock move home. But he is not a deal-breaker, with the former No.19 draft pick expected to be thrown into the swap after a trade for Hill was already agreed by both clubs.

Essendon is interested in Aiden Bonar.

“Pick 32 from the Dogs will form a key part of it, I don’t think it’s going to be just 32. I think it will involve a swap of picks elsewhere. I don’t think it involves pick 13.

The Dogs hold picks 13, 32, 45, 51, 53 and 89.
St Kilda hold picks 10 (Hill), 76, 82. May receive 58 for Stevens.

There's also talk of Melbourne being willing to swap picks 3 & 8 with the Giants for pick 6 and something else (future 1st rounder?) so GWS can move even higher up the draft to access Tom Green.
