Butcher played well in the Grand Final winning side for Maffra.
He is ready for the AFL & has all the goods  :thumbsup

an intruiging situation, looks to have the raw talent, Can it be tapped? or do we go with someone like Temel that looks to be right on the cusp of senior footy?

we've had two young KPP that look to have the raw talent in Sarge and Hughes both AA juniors, both failed to progress

Trengrove, Butcher and Martin are all super pick ups.

You can waste alot of time trying to predict the future but if we score any of these picks they will be a super addition to the list.

Speculation is that we'll have to choose out of Butcher or Martin. I think both will be great players I'm heading towards Martin as he seems more of a sure bet, that doesn't make Butcher any less of a player.

Butcher has had alot of injuries that l think might take some years off his football.
You would hope to recruit a player who can be a 10 year player & that would be my only concern
Like Cotchin, its nice to have great talent but getting him onto the park & kepping him there & reap the rewards.  Is he another Coughlan ? l hope not.
whoever we get l just hope they play consistant football & be a major input to the team structure
