Ah, a Wallace fan.  ;D Deledio, Vickery, Tambo, Riewoldt etc etc are all first round picks. I'm not going to give him credit for them.

As for not giving him credit for first round picks...by the same token then I assume you do not criticise him for first round failures eg JON.

It was his job to develop the draftees, he didn't do a very good job with some of them. Why should I praise him for Tambo and Lids? He inherited those picks after Danny's last year as coach. 1st Rnd picks should become good players for you more often than not, but how many of ours have? Our drafting has been nowhere near good enough for a long time.

Spud may have been terrible but Wallet wasn't a whole lot better.

Wallet was smart in that he was media savvy and had an answer for all questions. Furthermore he was able to answer questions by not answeing the questions actually asked by providing an answer that skimmed on the question asked and ranted on an unrelated topic.

Danny unfortunantely did not have the streetwise intellect to battle it out with the journos and spoke of cherry ripes and sticking fat.

The Dried Sultana has left the list in a slightly better state than Spud but with the credentialls that Wallace arrived with at Punt Rd his failures are far more greater now and damning than what Danny's are based on street wise intelligence in handling the media and a tactical acumen that he was so famous for at the kennel.

Even if in 4 or 5 years time we attain the ultimate on field success with Deledio as captain there should be very little or no mention of Wallet. Just as when Hawthorn won the flag in 2008 there was no reference to Schwab. Let's confine both of these disaster stories in Spud and Wallet to the history pages and move on.

That is a scathingly accurate assessment of the silver tongue.
