Interesting all the elements in play. The factors I keep switching between were onfield v off-field and consistent performers v potential performers. In many ways what Dimma and Benny Gale is doing for the club as a whole is more important for not only this year but for Richmond in the future and could be argued to effect everyone rather than just the scoreboard. Also the reemergence of a player such as Foley will have a huge impact on lifting our overall performance but only if our other strong performers from last year continue to play to the same standard.

If Jack, Lids, Newman, Cotch, Martin etc drop away then a fit Foley would only cover that loss.

I think I'm starting to confuse myself now  ???

And us!   ;D

FWIW, I voted Foley, based purely from on on-field perspective.  Off-field it is B. Gale and D. Hardwick by a country mile.  The strength, belief and drive of both are critical to our re-emergence.
