I find it curious that people still fail to see the real purpose behind rookie listing Miller. Read Hardwick's take on Miller in the thread in this forum - He said that Miller has already inspired the group to greater heights during training and has been working with Vickery and Post. It went so far as to say if either of these two have a greatly improved season he would attricute a large proportion of this to Millers teaching. He also mentioned how well he was performing in the HF position. So even before we get onto the insurance argument forget about whether Miller will be there in one, two or 10 years but look to see if he is improving out list and based on what our coach has already said, I would suggest it is an astute pick.

Our last pick is not being left unused. It is simply being left for a young players who trains the house down over the preseason and wins the position. Even if no one was taken at the end of preseason, having a number of raw players training there pants off would push the rest of the squad to work that little bit harder too just to ensure they are not shown up.

I'd swear some people spend their lives just sweating on things to whinge about. Carrying on because we passed when we can still fill the spot next year. ::)

Ian Callinan finally got drafted. Absolute gun from Tassie that's been dominating the SANFL. I'd much rather him than bloody Hislop :banghead

Experience doesn't mean poo if you can't play.

Didn't Callinan try out with us a couple of years ago? He's the same age as Miller.

Didn't he go just before Hislop? maybe we had him earmarked but ended up with the "Slops" instead ;D

Probably... Clubs have overlooked him because he's short.

He will be good for Adelaide.

Yeah, as a step ladder for Tippet ;D ;D ;D

Just jokes, hope he goes allright. He look's like a very similar player to Nick Gill who was a gun for North Adelaide but couldn't step up to the big league, Like Gill I can't see him getting a regular gig if the Porpoise is fully fit....

Nick Gill's problem was he couldn't kick and was injury prone

Actually on recount 22 blokes previously on AFL lists, 26 if you count the PSD picks

but yeah, eff me Richmond WTF poor form blah blah effing whinge  :whistle

Extremely poor form, we haven't learnt a thing!!

Last year we took Polak at RD #62, when we could have had a star like John Williams, Joshua Donaldson or Patrick Rose!!!

 :rollin
Patrick Rose has kick 71 goals in the VFL so far this year. I wonder if we'll have any interest in him this year given we lack a genuine midsized goalkicking half-forward. He'll certainly cost more than a late rookie pick now.
