I was only talking about conca and Heppel, tucker.

Yeah I know :thumbsup

Just threw in the fact Popelord saw Tapscott play also just to make a point. :thumbsup

And you could dispute whether Tapscott played in a winning or losing side!   :P   ;D

Still no rising star nomination for any of our cubs  ???. Zac Smith is the round 7 nomination.

Anytime the Suns win a game, or even get close, they're gonna give one of their young 'uns a nomination.

Smith has been good though, wish we had him.
And you may not think I care for you

If Smith can play out the season in the form he has shown so far he is my pick to take out the award at the end of the year
Very impressive player

I don't think its best young player that week any more.

If 2 young kids have a blinder they nominate 1 and then wait till they can nominate the 2nd even if he wasn't the best young kid that week, they will.

Zac Smith may not necessarily be the best this week but had to be nominated some time as he'll probably win it.

I thought Dusty wasn't nominated till late last year so they could fit in as many kids as posisbly until they ran out and had an easy nomination in Dusty.

Doesn't seem like we have any young players who are 'flashy' enough to win an early nomination. Conca would have to be our first in line but, like Batchelor, he has very very good without being great. The judges are waiting to be slapped in the face by performances and you can bet your bottom dollar that the AFL will be heavily influencing them to choose a Suns player when it appears even remotely legitimate. Expect at least 4 more before the years out especially if they win a couple more games.

Bit of a nothing award really - Dusty is still the best 2nd year player going around despite receiving a nomination well after Scully and co. Means little and I'm sure Dimma is telling all his players the exact same thing about all individual awards.  :cheers

Except Smith was the best this week. Rucked solo for almost the whole game after Gorringe went down injured, he was up against Leuenberger & Clark who are older and more experienced than him but he still ended up with 22 disposals, 17 hitouts and 2 tackles.

Was also involved in some great plays, including a soccer volley a few inches off the ground which went straight through to a team mate in the clear who kicked a goal. Pretty good tricks for such a big guy.

Fully agree.  Was a standout this round for mine.  His game was outstanding given how early Gorringe was subbed out and how comprehensively he beat his 2 opponents.  He was completely stuffed by game's end.  Wonder if GC would be interested in an upgrade for more experience?  Smith = Graham?

I can dream can't I?   :pray

And quite rightly too
