Tuck was a positive today, he got 38 disposals today, 21 contested possies, 6 marks and his efficiency was 76%.  Definitely turned up, to play.

Sometimes with Tuck I feel because his disposal is suspect the opposition doesn't seem to worry too much about a tag as he usually gives it back and therein lies the problem with some of our ball winners.

Lids had about 30 today as well and he had no impact either whereas others have less stats and really hurt you. That for me is the most worrying aspect for me that when your most prolific ball winners on the day share 70 possessions but do not hurt the opposition. Seems a bit wasted to me unfortunantely. We just have to suck it up and persevere with the kids and Dimma as that is the only remedy at this stage.

Blind man Freddy knows that Lids should be used in the corridor.
Instead we play him off half back :banghead
There lies a huge problem

Sometimes even in the midfield I find Lids does not have an impact in his stats until after the pace and sting in the game has gone out. I feel that therein lies the problem with him and not the coach. He has played over 100 games and he has yet to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and shake it violently put it in a deathroll and then drown it and he is supposed to be our leader and match winner. To me therein lies the problem not where he is playing as he has been tried up forward in the middle and off half back and he has yet to deliver an imprint of any substance.

sorry Tucker i dont agree.

He cant do it on his own you know, much like Jack R in our forward 50.

What i cant understand is everyone is quick to jump on Lids because he is not the "match winner" we all want him to be.

He is thrown around from the tanned one and now Dimma in all different positions so it must have some sort of effect. It cant go on he needs 1 position!!!

What baffles me most is everyone is quick to bash Lids but no not Tambling he does everything right.

That's cool Daniel I can see your point but regardless of where he plays and for how long because during his career he has had ample time over a 6-8 wk period to take a game by the scruff of the neck and make that position his own but he hasn't and even though he gets 25-30 possies most weeks they don't hurt the opposition. Furthermore he is in his 6th season and with the season we are enduring it is a fine time for him to stand up and show some real leadership.

As for Tambling is you go through my posts you'll find I am very critical of him. Comparing Lids and Tambling , Lids is streets ahead now and alas always will be.

I'm sure you'll get a double dose at AAMI next week to make up for it.
Frankston only bigger.  :D (the most serial killers per head of population in the world)

Have to say Crows supporters aren't too bad out of the interstaters

Without doubt the most disgustuing & feral bunch on the road is the Dockers supporters. It just isn't safe at Sub at a Dockers game  ;D

I went along and here's a couple of positives I noticed.

firstly the golden moment of the game was when Ottens first got the ball and he was roundly booed by the Tiger cheer squad down the Colac end.

Later he fluffed a mark and some wag behind me yelled out, 'That's why we got rid of you Ottens!!'

Nason was really good.  I thought Nahas had a dip and I was pleased with Polo's efforts. Tucky was OK and proved some of his doubters wrong.

I know we got flogged but I did notice a few times that Geelong struggled to get through our zone.  It didn't work often of course, but when they got it right it seemed to do the job.  The plan of handball, handball, handball through the back half and the centre was clearly obvious at last.  It isn't working yet cos we don't have the talent but you could see them trying to do it.

Oh, and I managed to knock this bloke in the side accidentally and he spilt his beer down the jacket of his mate, but they were tigers and we all took it in good spirit.

Had a ripper Villis chicken pie too.
