High mark from me too.

Richmond has improved out of sight since round one.I must admit after the first month I didn't know where our first win was comming from...Now I just expect an honest contest each week-wins will take care of themselves.

Im no expert but watching Hardwick coach from the boundry line like he has all season demonstrates that wins are irrelevant at this stage....Its all about player development and boy has he had to start from scratch.

Some players are even developing ahead of schedule....look at Jack Riewoldt. At the start of the year we were saying that he is a good 2nd or 3rd tall forward option now all of a sudden he is becomming a destroyer of backlines.

I still think there has been a little spin this year..."Year of transformation" is obviously code for we are going to be @#$% for a while.I wish I had a dollar every time Dimma has spoken the phrase "moving forward".

2010 has been a very painful time to be a Richmond supporter .....I do expect some inconsistency but I think we are over the worse.

I have given Dimma a 7.

Has got the team trying to play corridor footy which is great.

Has not deviated from his plans and what he has said.

No spin and has shown a genuine appetite from the job.

Has played the kids and will hopefully continue the cull and draft more kids.

Has been the only coach since Bartlett to invest in kids.

I expect the competitive footy to continue till about rd 17 which by then the kids will start getting tired and we might cop a flogging.

has done a decent job. but im a sceptic of everything richmond.
i remember wallace in his first yr did most things right then went of the rails.he did what blind freddy would do yr 1. hardwick well its exactly the same hes done what any  half decent thinking coach would have done.  and accolades for doing it hes got most things right thus far.
the real test for hardwick and this current admin is what happens at seasons end. does he do a wallace only doing half a job  and shying away from the tough decisions   or does he follow thru and do what must be done. the easy part is almost done now for some real decisions that will set us up for a genuine finals tilt or is it to be more fluff.

What do you mean 'more fluff'?  Was what has been done so far fluff?  14 cut from our list in one year fluff?   :o

He has done the right thing bringing in kids, but so did Wallace.

Wallace brought in 8 draftees and Troy Simmonds. Then we over achieved and finished 9th

So in 2005 he only drafted 3 players (all have left the club) and traded for Pat Bowden, thinking we were not far off.

Hardwick is going to finish bottom 2, more than likely last. No false hope and it screams out that we need to cut a lot more duds.

I can see where claw is comming from on this one.  Wallace did a similar thing his first year clearing out 10-11? players. After his first year at the club and he had got to know the players and had his favorites he didnt turn over anywhere near as many as he should have.

At this stage id give Dimma the wood over wallace by a long way simply because of the development of the kids, i just hope he keeps the progression going. I would like to think that Dimma and the current board has a stronger personalities than that and will continue the build.

I reckon you'd still be bagging him if he lifted up the premiership cup with yellow anad black streamers on it.

The easy part is almost done? did what blind freddy would do year yr1? So far you seem to have questioned him at every turn, displaying an apparent ignorance of the process he is going through.  ???

Then to compare what hardwick has done to wallaces first year? Which game under wallace, in any of his 4 1/2 years, did Richmond display the commitment and hardness at the ball, while constantly getting numbers to the contest, displayed against Port, (as well as for large parts of most of the other games in the last 4-6 weeks)?? ??? How many players did wallace ever drop/not play because they were not playing to instruction/following team rules, regardless of skill levels??

All wallace ever did was put the team on the park most likely to win that week, with scant regard for the bigger picture.

Given that nearly every week you criticise the selected team's structure I can see why you think this is a good thing, but it does fly in the face of your cries to deliberately lose games to get early draft picks.

You can hardly call cutting 14 'fluff'  if you cut 14 more we would be starting over yet again... you cant keep doing that or we are just going backwards.  There will be more turnover no doubt but not nearly as deep, you have to be realistic, or we will literally just fold...

Scored him highly.  Done everything he said he would, they way he said he would, in the timeframe he said he would.  Great performance in such an emotive, egotistical and result driven arena.  Doesn't mean I see him as the Messiah - I'm only scoring him up until now and up until now he has been fantastic.
