Hardwick mentioned before the game that Malthouse had come into the changerooms to support Cousins and the commentors had asked was that distracting to the other players having a collingwood person into the club. Dimma said the players showed great respect for Malthouse because even though he is a Collingwood person he will always be a Tiger great first.

Overall was disappointed because we could have won the game. Inaccuracy in the first quarter and the drop off in the second quarter killed us. Thought we were to Jack conscious in the first quarter and over handpassed in the second. Disappointed we can't seem to win milestone matches. Positives we came back.  King was very good as was Morton. Both have excelled in their new roles. O'REILLY showed immense courage. Taylor Post and Gourdis showed good signs. Had a very inexperienced defence will improve with more game time. Cousins has filled in the hole left by Foley's injury very well. His class and poise will be missed. Graham needs to work on his overhead marking. Brogan killed us in that regard. Nahas' game was very disappointing.
