If anybody had asked me if I'd be happy to finish 5th on 15-7 I'd day yes.

Carlton game was deflating and I think spoiled what was a potentially massive step forward this season. If we'd lost to Sydney this week in the 2nd round I'd have been happy. Pretty disappointed though. Funny how things change like that.

We were out-coached massively again and the boys showed they don't have the killer instinct. The kids looked tired and by and large the individuals looked unaccountable.

Need some attitude adjustment and I'm concerned Hardwick isn't the man to give us the final push and deliver the flag. Has done well so far though.

Another pre-season should see the kids run out games better. Ellis looked shagged the last month. Vlastuin too at times. Some boys need to put on weight. And TBH sometimes I wish King and Jackson still had the fire in their belly that got them MRP attention. Need more men like that.

sorry would have to disagree here.

in that game and in that year we were no good so didnt really come as a surprise.

See that's where we differ. The fact that we couldn't get up for that game in light of what it stood for was an indictment on the players. Even lowly sides can get up for certain games. We couldn't and considering Carlton wasn't that good either said alot. We didn't fire a shot that day we were non-competitive. At least Sunday we were competitive

the only game that comes close to being as humiliating is the benny cousins hamstring game.

Disagree, that was a case of people believing we were better than we actually were and thinking Cousins was going to make such a massive difference. Newsflash we weren't that good, we were crap  ;D so result was no surprise

forget about what you thought in round 1 or what we were like 4 years. I myself looked trim and terrific 4 years ago but that was then this is now

Facts are we lost to the same team for the second time in a month after hearing how we have "learnt from our mistakes" our win/loss record against them was mainly in the past. Give me a spell.

Take maric, rance, ellis, nick v, cotch, king we have no men left in this team next year. Rest are limpgots if you want the truth.
maric and cotch go down in 14, we are royally screwed.,

Wouldn't be includng Kingy in there after Sunday he was pathetic, worse game he's played

So are you saying that the fact we've come from being in the bottom 4 to the top 8 means nothing? Or are you saying none of that matters because we lost on Sunday? Guarantee if we hadn't of played a final you'd be going off worse than you are now.

Not exactly sure what it is you want. Let me say it again I am not happy that we lost a game we had in the bag but give me being there last Sunday over missing out on being there any day of the week

When was the last time we did what carlton did to us in a big game on the big stage. 95 semi?

It wasn't 95 as we didn't play them  ;D Think you meant 2001 and we won by less than 2 goals so I don't hink you can say we stitched them up but see your point at tleast we won

Is it better than not making it. Im not sure, i doubt it. That was as bad as it gets if you ask me in the last decade.

The only positive and its a slight positive of the year, is that because of that loss we will surely make finals

If thats not incentive to redeem yourselves as a footy club i dont know what is.

WP until we bring ruthelss never give up type of footy into our club we wont be doing much apart from the lower reaches of the 8 and just outside. We are as lethal said a club with no ticker on the big stage.

If you think last Sunday is as bad as its been in the last decade then I not sure it matters what anyone says or does.

Agree with you about next year if the loss diesn't burn in their guts and drive them nothing will. Actually think and have always thought that play finals in 2013 and the RFC is faced with its  biggest challenge in 30+ years and that's backing it up. Let's all take that challenge on and enjoy the ride  :thumbsup

My best moment was defeating Hawthorn again & showing that we have risen to the next level & can match it with the best teams 2 years running. Regardless of the final result. The players & club produced more than l had expected. 15 wins is a great feeling from a tuff year. The club made profit & reaching 60,000 members, But to get 64,000 is excellent which showed the passion in the club survives after all these years.  :gotigers

Winning 15 games was impressive. People need to remember how terrible we were in 2009.
