Depends on the coin and if he is gifted senior games.  Would think he may be valuable in our VFL team teaching the youngsters.

The last point is probably irrelevant since we could sign him on as a VFL listed player
Not quite. If we get a few injuries down back, he wouldn't be able to come up as a VFL listed player....
hmm houli, morris, mcintosh development, ellis, deledio, vlastuin, batchelor, conca, dea, even helbig petterd and mcdonough, geez thats a lot of injuries and puts paid to the what if we get a few injuries down back theory.  the options are limitless.
If you haven't noticed most of those you have mentioned are already in the team and are playing a role!
Many of the others won't be there as they will be delisted.
Having an experienced defender come in if we have a few injuries down back is not that bad a thing. It's called depth,  something you harp on a lot.
FWIW I would not wrench Deledio from falf forward or Ellis from his on ball role to cover a hole down back.
Now maybe you would destabilise the side by doing that but I wouldn't.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
