Sonsie to stay in. Graham not been amazing lately.

Considering Graham has been playing with a bad case of turf toe for most of the season I reckon he's been good

Dimma said the same last week  :shh

Would you drop Sonsie for him if he's listed as a test? I wouldn't. Sonsie is fit

No I wouldn't drop Sonsie but at the same time I don't think Graham will get up.

But of Graham gets up, I reckon he will play

If fit, Graham plays to lock down Neale if needs be.

Predicted Finals Teams

Ben Cotton
Fox Sports
August 31st, 2022

Tigers’ predicted 22

IN: Martin, Graham

OUT: Sonsie, Ross

B: Broad, Balta, Tarrant

HB: Baker, Vlastuin, D.Rioli

C: Pickett, Cotchin, McIntosh

HF: M.Rioli, Riewoldt, Bolton

F: Martin, Cumberland, Lynch

FOLL: Nankervis, Prestia, Short

I/C: Gibcus, Miller, Edwards, Graham

Team Tips:
The Tigers are bolstered by the returns of Dustin Martin (hamstring) and Jack Graham (foot) as the club gets close to a full strength line-up. Whoever comes out of the side will be unlucky given Richmond is running-hot amid a four-game winning streak. Tyler Sonsie, Jack Ross and Josh Gibcus appear the most vulnerable, with the latter potentially edging ahead to keep his spot given Dylan Grimes (hamstring) is currently sidelined. Although both Sonsie and Ross impressed in the Tigers’ Round 23 win over Essendon, so it wouldn’t be a great surprise if Gibcus is among the names to make way, while you sense Ben Miller’s spot is safe due to his versatility and role as the backup ruck. Noah Cumberland is expected to line up despite suffering a foot injury scary last week at training.

In the Mix: Finals week 1:

With nearly two weeks between games, Tom Lynch is well and truly right to play after being substituted with groin soreness. There'll be heartbreak for at least one Tiger, with the availability of both Dustin Martin (hamstring) and Jack Graham (foot) leaving just Dylan Grimes on the injury list. Jack Ross and Tyler Sonsie loom as the players who are most on the fringe of the team, but both played really well against Essendon and will be desperately unlucky to miss. Ben Miller could also switch roles from forward/ruck to defender/ruck to allow for the inclusions, pushing out youngster Josh Gibcus.

Verdict: Martin to come in for Sonsie, with the Tigers opting not to bring in two players returning from injury.
