I think Graham may not be fit and Ross may stay.

In Martin
Out Edwards (to be sub), Castagna

Tough selection call for the match committee.

As I said in the match thread I’m not sure how much Gibcus is adding to the team for the past month and more. So do they drop him and add another midfield number or does that leave us too short against a tall lions lineup especially if they bring in fort? Maybe we can push kmac into defence who we usually use in that role when we lose a defender mid game. Or we could push Miller back when he isn’t pinch hitting in the ruck. Does graham (if fit) even warrant selection considering he’s also been quiet in the past month.

At this stage assuming both dusty and graham get up for the game, I’m thinking:
In: Dusty, Graham
Out: Gibcus, Castagna

For the sub I’d pick between Edwards, Graham and Ross. Ross played a ripper on the weekend but do you trust him to repeat the dose in a final. Edwards has been poor for the most part of the season but he is a big game player and now that he has announced his retirement he may just be able to turn back the clock for a few more games.

If he is ready I'd think seriously about naming Dusty as the sub.  It gets him onto the plane & into the team without all the pressure of having to lead the charge, we could leave his inclusion til the very last minute too.  It graduates his return without making him a focal point, he gives us fresh legs in the middle & a plan B up forward.

My heart tells me that’s too much of a gamble. If we don’t have a legit injury we have an A grader in Martin just sitting on the pine. He’s a champion and you can’t keep champions down. I’d back him to make some impact if he was in starting 22

Could just fake an injury like we did with a certain gun forward Saturday night :lol it's not even a medical sub, clubs abuse it something shocking.
