How did McGuane go in your opinion WP. Any probs with his knee?

McGuane's knee was a none issue. Didn't even have it taped.

He played in the forward line - he seems more suited there than down back. Out of the 3 Richmond boys (Limbach, Hughes, McGuane) rotating between FF & CHF - McGuane was the best by a long way.

If Coburg wins a game and the best 12 players are coburg players- then thats a no result for us.

I have to disagree Ramps - If Coburg win a game and the best 12 players are Coburg then I reckon it may actually show that some of our younger blokes haven't got the right mindset. They shouldn't think just because they are AFL players they are automatically going to star and get an easy ride. They have to work bloody hard whether it be at Richmond or Coburg.

They should look at the likes of Polo and Raines who both started in the Coburg Ressies, prgressed to Coburg seniors and are now regular AFL players. Dean Polo has actually said he benefitted greatly from his time at Coburg because when he first came down he wasn't realy for AFL.

Under Andy Collins I think we've been able to do both given the number of youngsters at Richmond that have debuted and blossomed as FF pointed out. One of the reasons Collins got the gig was because his record with the development of kids. Nothing wrong with installing a winning mentality either and playing finals even at VFL level. If Coburg has a decent on-field structure which plays a similar style to Richmond then that'll also help with speeding up our youngsters progression. Remember Polo in his first year began in the Coburg ressies and was pushing for a Richmond spot by the end of the year. This year he has cemented it. Rainsey was similar with how he came on at Coburg and now would be in our top 5 for the year.

You guys need 100% RFC focus...like that Geelong supporter yesterday on sen, they asked him what were the most important things in his life he proceeded to outline the following

1st- my kids
2nd- my kids
3rd- my kids
4th- geelong: the poor bastard
5th- he goes my misses "pmsl"

If hes wife heard him, hes not gonna get laid for months the poor basta.rd

Geelong wouldn't be a good club to follow if success was your main aim Ramps. Just ask Otto :rollin.

I would say Coburg is far more Richmond focussed than other AFL clubs' VFL affiliates  ;).

 ;)

They say the best alignment in the VFL is Sandy/Melbourne - they have the balance spot on. Back to back premierships attest to that but the Melbounre list is alot older so I the focus is not so much about development.

I reckon the Coburg/Richmond one is working very well and more importantly improving all the time. Coburg's list is like Richmond's very young (either the youngest or 2nd youngest in the VFL) so their focus is on development as well - a win/win
