As much is it sounds great, Rex is living in a world of make believe with flowers and bells and leprechauns and magic frogs with funny little hats.
As Gordo said, The AFL has rules in place these days to prevent clubs from buying premierships and that is exactly what Rex is saying without saying it if you know what I mean. Will never happen in our lifetime! It would take us 10 years to buy 5 quality players under the current rules and salary cap constraints. The other fact is that clubs are now deliberately offering longer contracts to tie up quality players.
