Talking about Mark Jackson leads me to this question.....

In 1980 Roach and Jackson both kicked 100+ goals for the seniors & reserves respectively.

We also had a century goal kicker in the Under 19's - what was his name?

And does anyone know what happen to him?

There must have been something in the water at Punt rd back then.
I was just thinking about this rare acheivement the other day.
For some reason I thought BT kicked a ton too ???

If my constantly fading memory is correct - BT played in the reserves in 1981 and kicked a ton then.

Jackson was cleared to which ever club was his first in 1981 because he was not likely to get a game at the Tigers because we had Roach

Very good William. :o

I imagine BT would have been a LITTLE easier
to deal with than Jacko thus the "CLEARANCE"

There's a term we dont hear anymore.

Fishfinger, i think that must have been a night game - i don't think he played seniors.
Thanks froars & WP. Must have dreamt Jacko played that game. Like when I dreamt BT was omitted from the '82 GF team for Ian Sartori......Hang on, that was a NIGHTMARE and actually happened.  >:( :'(

Speaking of century goalkickers who was the first Richmond player to achieve the feat?

Looks like I've stumped you all  ;). A clue is the feat occurred when we were still in the VFA.

Jack Hutchison was the first FF to reach 500 goals but only kicked 67 in 1907.

Is it him?

And, of course, i cheated - i wasn't aruond then lol

Oops  :-[ ... teach me to think up a question from memory without checking it first ;) .

Congrats froars, that's who I was thinking of - Jack Hutchison. I'm not sure WP if he played in the VFL the following year.
