Have you considered one of the content management systems (CMS) about? Initially they can be a bit time consuming to set up and learn your way about, but once up and running they make day to day management quite simple. There are a few about that have a 'bridge' to integrate the SMF as well.

Try clearing your web/internet cache, restarting your browser then going to the page again Beren.

True smokey. If Beren uses Windows with IE or Firefox then it's simpler just to use CTRL-F5 rather than clearing out the browser cache.

I've looked into it. The idea of separating the design and content into different files so you only have to worry about the content files after the site is set up is something that would be handy. I think I know of ways how to do that now.
