DARREN Crocker had tongues wagging on Monday at a meeting with new Richmond coach Damien Hardwick.

Crocker, Hardwick and their manager Michael Quinlan met in Elwood for a coffee and discussion.

Tiger officials said the two were catching up socially and cast doubt on any move for the former Roos caretaker.

Crocker has a year left on his contract, but after most of the other Kangaroos assistant coaches were dismissed on Monday is believed to be open to offers.

Maybe he will get his old office back at Punt Rd.
Spent 5 years there under Spud.

Wasn't that impressive miked up in his last game, although I'm sure he perceived it more as advertising himself to the football world and had to second guess what he was saying all the time.
Seems like a nice guy, but pretty run of the mill friendly coach, but I'd hardly want to go into battle for him.

Every organisation needs good blokes and hard men.  I doubt Hardwick is in the good bloke category.

Darren Crocker knows his footy, thus the Kangas want to keep him.
His last 2 wins show he has the ability to be a great assistant

The players would probably like to have different voices at different times. Hardwick cant run them into the ground 100% of the time all the time. Crocker would be a good get for Richmond. Norths players clearly responded to him late in the season as well. He seems like a terrific bloke to have as a number 2 coach.
