New Coburg coach - David Newett
« on: September 20, 2009, 07:22:09 PM »
From today's Sunday Herald-Sun, pp S12

WESTERN Bulldogs assistant coach Leon Cameron could be the frontrunner to take over as Williamstown VFL coach and Bulldogs' development manager next season following the release of Brad Gotch.

Gotch, meanwhile, could be in the running to become Richmond development coach and Coburg VFL coach with Jade Rawlings and Craig McRae joining the Brisbane Lions.

Willy won the VFL flag under Gotch in 2003 (his 2nd year as their coach). I guess he can say he's worked under Malthouse and Eade via Willy's affiliation with Collingwood and now the Bulldogs.

I can still remember Gotch running around for the Fitzroy U19s in the early 80s with Paul Roos. He's been around top flight footy for a long time now. A fairly talented footballer for his size actually but you couldn't miss him because he was so short lol.

No - Bit more to the Gotch leaving Willy than what is in the media  :shh

And to develop we need our own team, getting sick of this Coburg rubbish.

I think he has been around for too long and not really done that much.

Pass for me.

Coburg coach will be ratified at the AGM on Sept 30th, interviews over the next week or so.

Will the new Coburg coach be ratified by the members of one-eyed Richmond?

TFL are you saying these is an AGM for Coburg on the 30/9/09? Or do you mean a boaord meeting on 30/9/09?

Coburg's like all clubs financial year ends on 31/10/09 - can't have an AGM before then  :thumbsup  ;D

l seen many teams go out in leagues this season after being favorites
Geelong Falcons under Hocking was a shock
Gippsland Power the other shock
Butcher went back to Maffra & helped cause a upset over Traralgon

we need to get away from Coburg

Actually, Butcher nearly cost them the game with his inaccurate kicking.

Technically you're correct.

If he didn't kick those 7 behinds, they would have lost by 4 points....  :rollin
