SEPTEMBER
« on: September 20, 2009, 07:47:52 PM »
I have been lucky enough to see our beloved Tigers win 5 Premierships in my lifetime.

Our success over the last 29 years has been limited but we all dig deep and keep the faith. Nearly all of us. The idiot naysayers and knockers need something to whinge about. The club gets their money so there is one positive from them.

2009 was a poor year for the Mighty Tigers but we all love SEPTEMBER when we know "who" can't produce the goods more than once in 51 years.

COLLINGWOOD HAVE NOT WON A GRAND FINAL .....IN SEPTEMBER....SINCE 1958. 51 years of no success in SEPTEMBER.

Don't we all love COLLY-WOBBLES and insipid performances from the media's favourite team when the pressure end of the season comes around.

It brings joy to my heart. :clapping

And just like Richmond, the Maggies don't have a 2009 Premiership cup either.  :cheers

This weekend I watched:

Collingwood lose a VFL prelim
Collingwood lose an AFL prelim
Collingwood lose an AFL grand final (replay on tv today).

What a lovely time.

Hopefully tomorrow night Swan misses out on the Brownlow on votes given in round 22. :rollin

TBH i dont fall for the ol chestnut, "I am just as happy to see such and such knocked out as the tigers winning"...It pains me to miss the finals and see the joy and excitement that others have...I couldnt give a rats tossbag who's in it unless I choose to have a wager

for the record I am hoping the saints get up...one for the underdog :thumbsup

what a stupid thread really.

Pies make Prelims so do the Buldogs let them worry about why they cant win a flag.

I would do anything to see the Tigers play in regular finals series and eventual win a flag.

At the end of the day history shows we are the worst team for the last 30 years until proven otherwise

Lol, the word is imbecile.

I haven't bothered to look it up but I think Collingwood's GF win 1990 was in October.

Ekto gets you on a technicality.  :)

After the year we have had ,the old saying "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" seems very appropriate.

Really silly thread...its like me saying...Roger Federer has never beaten me at tennis...its true but so what...and if we played i would not even win a point..unless the sun got in his eye and he double faulted....

They play finals football regularly under Malthouse...with not much more than a side of kids...they develop their kids far better than we do...why does a sidebottom bob up in September and be one of the catalysts to them beating Adelaide (by the way - isnt that success in September? or dont wins other than the grand final count?)...pendelbury is younger than lids/bling/foley...but viewed as far more damaging in the comp than lids or bling or foley etc...

What is it about the development coaches at other clubs, including the pies that allows them to bring their kids on more quickly than ours?

How stupid do you have to be to reply to a stupid thread TM?

It sounds like a couple of Maggie supporters have come out of the closet.....at last. And one of them will not be a  Richmond Member next year.

Its amazing what a 6/0 will bring to the surface....frustrated Magpies.
