I gave him a 5.
The reason was because I have not seen enough of him.
But of what I did, I thought him to be okay.
Knowing he has years ahead of him to improve.
So I would like him to stay with us for a little longer.

He was no way our worst but still an average year from an average player

toothpicks should no longer be allowed to play in our team, especially ones that get brushed aside as Edwards does.

how can we compete with the likes of Geelong with Edwards in your team.

Trade or bulk him up at least 5-10 kg's & let him play as a roaming forward

I gave him a 7, which is probably a touch too high, however it was more in regards to the 2nd half of the season
Not all players can be superstars in their first 3 years, especially at such a light build
Regardless, his 2nd half of the season he showed real promise and I'm sure he will build on that next year

Seriously! Edwards had a terrible year with 1, maybe 2 good/fair games.
Trouble with our club and more so supporters is we RATE our players to high!
I'm happy enough to see him go around next year, mostly because we have so many others that have to go before him, BUT if in his 4th year at the club he doesn't show considerable improvement than it's game over for mine.

Doesn't seem to stop someone like Nahas
Can easily see him filling out with another 5kg over the next year or two and becoming a similar build to his namesake in Tyson Edwards, Shane is even an inch taller than him

Terrible first half got better in the 2nd half of the year

Will be interested to see how he goes under Hardwick's game plan of going in and getting the hardball when it is your turn. Under Wallace he woudn't tackle just coral - we don't need blokes coralling we need 'em tackling

Spot on! Nothing makes my blood boil more while watching the Tigers when we don't run at the ball carrier and try and tackle. Coralling should have gone with TW.

Shane Edwards = Cameron Howatt

Opposition players must giggle when they see Edwards line up next to them.

I remember a game where some on here said he played well. Yes against the Pies and he played on Leon Davis who kicked 4 goals.

if thats a good game, Id hate to think what they say is a bad game then.

Our club is littered with his type. I would take Nahas any day of the year before this dud

I don't think Edwards should be a small backman but rather a small forward - perhaps a defensive forward. Where-ever he plays he definitely needs to bulk up quickly even if it somehow reduces his pace somewhat. He just can't stick a tackle and gets pushed off the contest far too easily. You can afford one or two skillful/evasive players of a smaller stature but even these are usually much stronger than they look which I believe Edwards is not.

The gym should be a second home to our list this preseason even more-so than the track
