Meh! = 3/10

For mine Hislop would drastically want to improve and show something more if he wants to be around in 2011. Just didn't do enough for a small in his 3rd year. Lucky to survive to be honest thanks to being contracted IMO. Make or break in 2010. If he can't step up under Hardwick who would like Hislop's hardness then I can't see him at Punt Rd beyond next year.

or should the question be how much does he need to lift to keep his spot for 2011?

Simply put a lot! Right now he's just an expendable fringe player.

3/10 for me too.

Based on what I saw from Hislop this season, we yet again paid well over the odds.
Lucky for him there are so many to go before him otherwise I would seriously have considered cutting him.

Fleming mk2 only not as good.

I'd play him out of a forward pocket. Does alot of one percenters smothers tackles and is aggressive. He could fit the bill to help keep the ball in the fwd line. Was coming out of our fwd line way too easily. Can bob up and kick a few goals.

I gave him 3 also. In a crap side like ours he stands out as being deficient as he doesn't get enough of it.

He was recruited as an inside mid and on that front he has failed to deliver.
Heck you can pick up forward pockets in the rookie draft who'd deliver more than Tommy did this year.

I am not having a crack Tucker as I know you marked him harshly but this player is quite simply a very slow dud.

another recruiting masterpiece by Jackson, Cameron and Wallet.

Hislop is an absolute joke of a footballer. A thug with no skill whatsoever.
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Agree with 3 out of 10 MM.  Only thing I will say in his defence is that he was hardly tried as an inside mid. If Tucky goes then he might get a fair crack at it and then we get to see if he can cut it in there or not.  I'm not confident but he is staying regardless so who knows.
