Now that's a good trade - would appear to be a win/win for all clubs

Personally I rate Dalziell highly, good get for the Eagles especailly seeing it is packaged with pick 22

Eagles do it better than any club. In the long term, they will win out in the Judd trade.
It's that simple Spud

Little bit puzzled by the Brisbane top-ups. Not sure if Voss is impatient, or if he wants to make the best of J. Browns last few years or if there is pressure from upstairs to make sure they are a the best team in SE Qld when the Gold Coast enter the competition.

make no mistake the lions think they have another window now or at the latest 2011.

They have the following star players from their premiership team nearing the 30 mark in the next year or so, and they are all playing sensational footy

J Brown
Bradshaw
Black
Power

add a few more descent top ups and they are pushing top 4 next year no doubt about that.

Andrew Lovett to the Saints

Essendon gets Saints first round draft pick - what's that about 17 ?

If we were prepared to trade the right player which other clubs believe has currency we could get another 1st round pick..... lost opportunity me thinks

That's not a bad deal at all. WP I think the best we can hope for is another third rounder. We're a bit like a Queen Vic Markets fruit stall at 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. Hard to get top dollar for our Mangoes when they are all bruised and over ripe.

You're thinking of Foley too WP?

Also, whatever the Saints might have seen in McMahon (pace ?) its clear that Lovett is a better outside player and any skerrick hope we might have had to offload him there now appears gone.
