We pick up more trash lately than the garbos.
Thorp wouldn't be the first kpp with various injuries in the first few years of his career as he grows into his body and has to handle the athletic demands of AFL at the same time. The next 2-3 years are the ones to know if he'll make it as he's still only 20 years old.
If we can get a pick 6 from the 2006 superdraft who could be a CHF, probably the most important structural position on the ground, for a PSD pick then I'm all for it. As long as any of the groin or foot fracture injuries are not an issue.

Exactamundo and to further amplify these two games he played, one was against us in 2007 , his debut match. Says alot. A Hawk mate of mine said he was at Hawk training last week and that something has hapenned in the inner sanctum there that has seen him out. :shh

Exactly. Pick 6?
So what JoN was thereabouts.
Sometimes players simply can't cut the mustard at AFL level and it appears Thorp (who couldn't get a kick at Box Hill) falls squarely into that category.
Heck Cleve Hughes achieved more than this overrated hack.
If we pick him up at pick 2 in the PSD I'll scream.

Hi all, long time reader first time poster on OER.

On mitch thorpe the bottom line is, Hardwick knows him well and if he feels he's worth the punt, I'll accept that.

Im with you Tony, Hardwick will no as good as anyone about both his injury and mental state.
If he gives him the all clear I will be happy with that. It's not as if we have to give up pick 6 for him.....

No use putting your body on the line if you are going to kick sideways across goals in the backline and miss targets.

You would not want a highly rated Key forward who taken seven picks before Jack Riewoldt?

 :-\

I would be happy to take him @ pick #44
