I don't think so. Our selection process couldn't have been more exhaustive and we had the best available candidates go for the role.

In the end though we choose who we felt would do the best for our list and current development stage. I'm happy with what he has done so far and think at the very least he needs more than a couple of months to prove himself.

So in short....No! :)

Hardwick was the best man for the job 6 months ago, 2 months ago, 1 month ago and now

He is hard at it and already has done what no other leather face or spud had done before.

He would rather let actions speak louder than words.

He is exactly what we needed at this club, now its time for those softie players to stand up and deliver instead of wasting away in their 65 kilo bodies

Why on earth would you ask that question when pre-season only started a couple of weeks ago?

I presume you barrack for the Skunks and are just in here to cause trouble...

Thats in the past buddy now that Mr Solarium has gone from our club.

You see that prick was part of the problem pal and id rather judge hardwick at the end of his 2nd year not start comparing him to Brad Scott now.

That was the problem with Terry.

He always looked behind and was only interested in what other clubs are doing well guess what, HE WAS WRONG.

Where were you when the interviewing process was going on...we interviewed Brad Scott (from memory) and he did not make it past Rd1 with us (we had a 3 round process)....

Who cares who North have...agree with Daniel on that score...

Why ask if we could have done better when the pre-season has only just begun....what do you expect Hardwick to have done better?????? or for that matter any coach to have done better????

I was thinking the same thing Con, trying to come with a way of saying it nicely ;D

the club went through an incredibly thorough process to select this coach.

Damien Harwick got the job and he has my support

And NO we couldn't done any better because we got the person the process deemed was the best fit for where this club currently sits and where it is trying to get too

I think we did pretty well from the way DH is going about his stuff.  He is a no nonsense, old fashioned, hands on, get the basics right first sort of bloke which is what we needed.  I like the kiss prinicple, 'keep it simple stupid', then build on that when you have perfected it.  I think TW was trying to apply a new complicated game plan at the wrong time and a lot of the fellas were not ready for it.

The folk down at Arden St have been quite vocal  :gobdrop with plenty of pressure building on the shoulders of Brad Scott  :help
I much prefer the quiet approach taken by Hardwick & Co. Certainly a welcome change from what we endured with the tanned one  :)
