Best kick of a footy?
« on: November 19, 2009, 08:52:52 PM »
Who is currently the best kick at Richmond?

And who was the best kick of a footy you've even seen? Who could roost the Sherrin or Faulkner with the most aplomb bar none?

yeah probably Lids
i remember watching big "Diamond jim tillbrook' who played for melbourne sink a kick once it went for ever...Lou richards i think it was had multiple orgasms over that kick.
having said that i think Jim jess was a thumping kick, and ian stewart who cam to the tigers from the saints could get the ball to dance for him

Edwards and Riewoldt.

My ooh my ooh my, especially the former.

i thought i have heard it all till that comment.

Lids is the only best kick in this team. No one else wouldnt know where their opposite foot is let alone be able to kick with it.

Buckley is the best modern day player i have seen kick a ball. No matter which foot and what distance he was supreme.
Leon C was not far behind

The GHost Jim Jesse by a country mile :thumbsup  for a past tigers player I have seen roosting long goals.
Present..were a bit thin on the ground, don't mind Newmans Torps when he unloads, Lids is accurate but not really a long range killer.

Yep, Jim Jess by a country mile (literally) for pure distance.  Ian Stewart for delivery by either foot with honorable mentions to Maurice Rioli, Leon Cameron, Geoff Raines and Bill Barrot for more one-sided delivery.

Dick Clay's drop kicks from full-back were a thing of beauty.

I'm relatively confident when Newman or Lids have the pill in hand.

In modern day footy i love how Brendon Goddard has the ability to break the lines with his penetration and accurate kicking.

Nathan Brown was pretty deadly on either side of the body (especially in his prime) and had the footy smarts to put the ball to the advantage of his team mates.
