i think you are working with the most up to date stats..but i think the wieghts might have changed...

ie Browne may be less than 104 kg and Vickery more than 89kg..will be intersting to see their playing weights for 2010

Taylor won't be a KPP. He's more a tall flanker. His height will give him an advantage as he'll be hard to match up on if he turns out a decent AFL footballer in a couple of years time when he's put on some weight. A Embley type.
Gourdis was lucky to survive and Simmo has only a year left so I wouldn't include both of them looking past 2010.

Rucks: Vickery, Graham, Browne
Forwards: Griffiths, Post, Riewoldt
Defenders: Moore, Thursty, McGuane, Rance, Astbury

Apart from Moore they are all young and developing talls with potentially the next decade ahead of them which is positive. The counterargument is they are mostly still unknowns and unproven. We will also still need to add more talls in upcoming drafts to add depth to cover injuries. There's only 11 talls there and 15 is around the optimum mark looking at the top sides.

Griffiths and Astbury are key players for us. If they can make it as league footballers and become very good players then we will be in a very good position.

i still see astbury as our CHF rather than a defender.  He has said so himself that his best position is a leading CHF.

I'd think about playing Post in defence if required.  Picking up Hartigan in the upcoming drafts would be great also.

No way on Thorp. If Hardwick didn't give an invite to train and he knows him, he wont get a gig.

I saw some footage of Panos and along with his invite to train with PA I thought he might be worth our PSD pick but we would have to check out how good he is around his feet. He is fast and can tackle and of course a great mark and kick !!!!!

Anyone know who the kid are that got an invite to train with us?

In a thread on bigfooty someone said that they heard on WIN Ballarat that Andrew Hooper and Free were. No confirmation on that though.

Both are too small. If Hooper was four inches taller he probably would've gone first round but his lack of height meant all 16 clubs overlooked him. He's the 2009 version of Fort Caruso.

Sadly for him i think you may right. Hooper is short, but built like a mini tank. He is about 6cm shorter than Cousins, but 1kg heavier. Looking at a pick of him he has a neck like a Rugby Union goon.
Unfortunately being so short and with a poor vertical  leap he will always struggle defensively in the air. Must be frustrating for the kid 'cause he looks like he is skilled.
