Dylan Grimes ‏@dylgrimes2 twitter:

"Surgeon says "EXTREMELY unlikely to re-injure the hamstring"... Couldn't be happier!! First of many running sessions today.. Can't wait!"
Let's hope Grimesy doesn't mozz himself. The Dreamtime game will be the proof  :-\.

Grimesey will be pooing himself before the Dreamtime game
He could always fake a hammy and miss it  :badidea

Probably a good idea. Our reserves side is better than the Bummerz. Rest all the stars.

Our reserves side doesn't have Jacko in it

The thing that has made Dylan great so far has been his ability to push hard to the contest and stretch just that extra little bit to spoil his opponents.
If he can't do that post hamstrings, then he's not the same player that we've all fallen in love with and is of name only.
No point holding back, he's got to keep doing it.
Just hope his body holds together in the process.

Grimes back on track
By richmondfc.com.au
Friday, March 1, 2013

Grimes - “I was feeling pretty good a couple of weeks ago and felt like I could have trained, but it was the fitness staff’s decision to hold me back just a little bit longer and make sure that the hamstrings were in good nick.”

“I feel really good . . . no issues whatsoever.  The ‘hammies’ are feeling great, and the rest of the body’s feeling really good as well, so I’m just hoping to get some game time in before Round 1.”

Understatement of the year:

Grimes is vital to our back line as he is our best one on one defender and best kick out of the back line from a tall.
Plays 22 and we make the finals.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Positive signs for Grimes
By Tony Greenberg
richmondfc.com.au
Monday, March 18, 2013

“Dylan played well defensively for his half of football, but looked a little rusty when we had the ball,” said Coburg’s coach and Richmond development coach Tim Clarke.

“This composure with the football will come over the next few weeks, leading into his AFL return.

“It was great to see his defensive intensity back on the field.”

Next step for Grimesy is to get through a full game at Coburg.

Grimes gathers momentum
By richmondfc.com.au
Monday, March 25, 2013

Talented, young Richmond defender Dylan Grimes took another decisive step on the comeback trail when he played three quarters for Coburg in its VFL practice match against Box Hill last weekend.

Grimes, who is returning from the latest bout of hamstring surgery that he underwent late last year, produced a solid performance, picking up 11 disposals (including four rebound-50s), taking three marks, and applying three tackles.
