Wallet was smart in that he was media savvy and had an answer for all questions. Furthermore he was able to answer questions by not answeing the questions actually asked by providing an answer that skimmed on the question asked and ranted on an unrelated topic.
Danny unfortunantely did not have the streetwise intellect to battle it out with the journos and spoke of cherry ripes and sticking fat.
The Dried Sultana has left the list in a slightly better state than Spud but with the credentialls that Wallace arrived with at Punt Rd his failures are far more greater now and damning than what Danny's are based on street wise intelligence in handling the media and a tactical acumen that he was so famous for at the kennel.
Even if in 4 or 5 years time we attain the ultimate on field success with Deledio as captain there should be very little or no mention of Wallet. Just as when Hawthorn won the flag in 2008 there was no reference to Schwab. Let's confine both of these disaster stories in Spud and Wallet to the history pages and move on.
