You can pick your Richmond Best 22 on the AFL site and compare it with other supporters.

Most supporters have little idea really. They are obviously uninformed and come Round 1 will be very surprized at some of the selections and positional changes.

We're slightly uninformed smokey instead of completely.  :whistle  The training reports we receive give us an insight into what positions players are training in, who is injured and what the coach is trying to achieve. This is where we here are slightly more informed than the average supporter who has no idea Polak is training as our full forward or Edwards in the backline or Morton in the midfield.

That's the difference but yeah, I see the irony of my comments  :-[

My Round 1 team against Carlton is  ;D

FB: edwards thursfield newman
HB: tambling mcguane rance
C: collins cotchin white
HF: cousins post polak
FF: nahas reiwoldt morton
FOLL: graham deledio foley
INT: vickery martin jackson farmer

Would prefer to see Post start forward because griffiths and astbury probably won't be ready by Round 1

This is probably going to be very close to our R1 team. Although I would have Tuck - Out and Farmer in. Moving Martin into the middle. Rance and Post could be vying for a position as well.

Nothing like throwing the kids to the wolves hey Torch?   ;D

When you add in Cotchin, Graham, Rance, Nahas and Post, it would go down as one of the most inexperienced teams ever fielded in AFL history - average age of 22.4 years with 1286 games total in experience (average 58.45).

That is the most correct statement I have read in ages and it transpires to just about about everything the club does including the draft and boy wasn't that proven yet again this year.

I rarely have a go at selecting the full squad to play any round let alone round 1. I do, like most, have a go at the in's and out's during the season but most of us can't even get that right.

It does go to show how very little we all know about the inner sanctum of our club and their thought process. It does make me laugh though when people select their team and then get narky when the RFC does not select the same players.... must show how little the RFC selection commitee know eh... :whistle

But it is a forum and thats what it's for.... :thumbsup
