Punt Rd Oval underwater
« on: February 12, 2010, 06:11:29 PM »
Funniest sight of the day was the seeing scoreboard end of the ground being underwater...

It meant they they couldn't train on the entire ground. I would say 1/3 of the ground was out of action  ;D
They showed vision of it on Ch 10 news. You're not kidding WP about 1/3 of the ground being underwater  :o

Saw it from the train on the way home. Quite a bit of water.

The other thing I was pleased to see was some walls going up on the new building. I'm getting sick of reading about every other teams new facilities. I so glad to see some progress.

They're currently doing the concrete foundations so yeah the new building is finally on its way. They also have dug a long trench along the boundary in front of the JD stand presumably for better drainage which will be now flooded lol.
