Wow! Just noticed it Beren. He has lost quite a bit.

On closer inspection, the thing that I am impressed with the most is, apart from Simmo, there is bugger all strapping on the legs and shoulders of our players. So good to see we are not risking players who are carrying injuries. With the way the game is played these days, we can't send players out half baked anymore, otherwise we will be caught out every time.

Like the shot of Luke streching out for the ball (who is that behin him?) i didnt realise he had a good leap on him.

I don't think that isn't Luke #16, it looks more like Tom Hislop to me but as he has a number on his back ending with 6 it may be Nahas.  The hair colour is wrong and those aren't Lukes legs, but then I could be completely wrong.  My initial thought was it was Dustin Martin #36.

I reckon your right Tiggytam
Martin it is

Opposition coaches will surely use the cluster zone quite often against us, seeing how we struggled big time with it, until we show the maturity, discipline, speed and skill to counter it. You're right WP it won't be pretty to watch in the short-term until we do.

It's a double-edged sword in some way MT.  Just like us last year, when we tried to apply the zone and weren't skillful/disciplined enough to carry it off allowing opposition sides to rebound from our mistakes, so it will be with many other sides who are only learning to play such an intense zoning type of game.  Hawthorn are head and shoulders above the other clubs who try this as we saw 2 weeks ago but we will have opportunities against other clubs because we are now learning how to play against it correctly and we are practicing the specific skills needed to do so.  Let them try - I think some might have their pants pulled down and bums spanked in the mistaken belief that they are dealing with the 'same old Richmond'.
That's true smokey. The Hawks and Saints are the two best sides at it. The Swans for different reasons have been a strong defensive side as well and have owned us numerous times. However you're right - most sides wouldn't be capable of pulling off the cluster zone to nowhere such a ruthless degree.

Round 1 will be interesting because Carlton under Ratten don't use suffocating zoning and are more a open play team relying on their midfield ballwinning strength.

Only works in IE for me Ox.

I know they are the highlights but I like the positive way we moved the ball in that video. Someone always free or at worst 1-on-1 forward of the play to receive the ball. A sign we were working harder and spreading. Nice switch of play to the free man on the outer side and then cut in to a lead up CHF and then quickly on long to the forwards who either marked or brought the ball down to crumbers front and square running towards the goal at pace. Old school footy but it obviously worked well as we had control of the middle of the ground for most of the day.

Great crowd btw. By the sound of it they were into the game and pro-Tigers  :thumbsup.

Ox I think you are being too kind to Bigpond there.

It works for me sometimes in firefox, but i dont run windows so it I cant get it to work at all with a bit of mucking about. When trying to get as much exposure as possible for somethi9ng like you would the AFL want, using propriatory crap systems like silverlight is just plain mental, but no real surprise. Put two mentally deficient organisations in bed together and the result will always be wacko.

My 2 bob's worth on the Bigpond videos.  I bit the bullet the other day and clicked on "Download Silverlight", expecting nothing to happen on my Linux/Firefox machine but I was pleasantly surprised when it downloaded a Firefox addon call "Moonlight".  A few seconds and couple of clicks later and I was watching Relton running around kicking goals.  Yep, I hated having to click anything that said "I agree" in relation to Microsoft and Bigpond but I have to say it was free, easy and it works so I can't complain - after all, thats why I went to Linux in the first place!

I think I may have just now installed the same add on. I git it from http://go-mono.com/moonlight/download.aspx and i didnt have to agree to anything !!
but when i tried to watch the video i got video not available as with any thing else i tries to watch there.

booted up vbox and could watch the video so there was a lot of cursing going on, then half way through it stopped playing and the same message came up so im hoping it's just more incompetence from telsta.

on the firefox in windows, i upgraded silverlight and flash and now cannot watch these with firefox windows version.

I just tried the AFL site and couldn't watch any videos Al, but I could watch all the live TV channels so maybe it is something with their video feeds at the moment.  I had no problem last night watching the videos.
