and when they stuff it up again this time will it be acceptable to vent,oh patient ones.?
Pizs on ur backs and tell you it's raining-no thanks.

I expected to see something no matter how small.

What i saw was nothing other than some kids have a bigger dip than their captain and the clubs token adonis.

No forward line or forward structure.
No ruckman-troy does his best but...
No ruckmen coming thru.
No staunch backline.- puny midgets dont cut it
No declared FB who can stuff with a buddy
Post wont know wether hes a back or forward for 2 more years.
and it goes on

Do u honestly think this club is only 3 years off finals?

Both the Cats and the Hawks were is the same position as us. Don't you all remember people demanding the heads of Thompson and Clarkson?? They survived by the skin of their teeth and look at them now!! Both teams were losing regularly but they were rebuilding and adjusting game plans just like we are now. We are in the recession we had to have but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel even if it is akin to one of those el cheapo solar garden lights.

Yeah agree, everyone including the entire RFC have told supporters what we are doing, where we are heading and yes how we are rebuilding. It's a shame some people can't get that in their heads, it's going to take years not one NAB game.
i dont think anyone is under any illusion about how long it will take i dont think anyone is really surprised with what happened. it was expected.

what some of us are saying is the senior players are poo and we deserved better from them.

sheesh i reckon even ox was happy with martin astbury nason  etc the kids and the direction are not the problem.

shocking skills  poor leadership  and far to many who have been around for long enough not producing.

we may be rebuilding but we can rebuild as much as we like it wont get us nowhere if we continue to persevere with sub standard so called senior players. all i keep hearing ios they need a chance well im sorry those senior players have had their chances and we all know nothing will change they have to many deficiencies to come good.

what ever happened to the mantra only good kicks will play sheesh the trouble with this is half the list wont play.

Claw,
let me provide an example.
Waeching Martin i felt the following emotions.
Excitement that transcended into embarassment and finally, realisation.
Realisation he deserved better than this club.

agree in a way. and that is the real worry. at some point in time the good ones want some success. unless we actually show there is real improvement  happening, or we are on the right track the cotchins and martins will say stuff this i want to play in a premiership.
continuing to persevere with poorly skilled underachievers  who have had ample opportunity  does nothing to help the cause.
why do we persevere with players like white polo  polak graham hislop how many yrs do we need to keep watching the same thing happen over and over before we say enough. have we learnt nothing. it seems not.

and what about Scully and Trengove at Melbourne? don't they deserve better?

come on guys, it was the first match, a practice match and we played a team that will finish top 4 and who understands our game plan because our

coach designed it for them?

Sure I am disappointed with Saturdays result ....who wouldn't be.

1...upset that Hawthorn was able to put 100 pts between us in only 3 quarters.
2....upset that we could only manage a score of 26 pts in 3 quarters of footy.

While I never really entertained the idea of us winning on Saturday night....I thought that a good showing would help wash away the stench of 2009.....This didn't happen.

Its probably going to get worse before it gets better.....Such a bitter pill to swallow for us long suffering supporters.

We are really going to have to hang tough over the next couple of seasons.

At least only one of Cotchin and Martin can be gabbed by the Gold Coast.  Personally if I was either of them I'd be very tempted to go.  Their recruiter in Scott Clayton is top notch.  No idea about their coach McKenna but he was a good player and has had a good place to learn in Collingwood.

I'd be a bit worried by the Karmichael Hunt thing, it seems a bit of a stunt to me.  But if they use their draft picks well they should win a premiership in 5 years.

Still some of the things coming out of the GC17 hierarchy seem a bit stupid so I'm not 100% sure their admin is good.
