Do you get it now?????
So nothing new in other words.
We hear the same spin every year.

Not really, last year we were saying top 4..... :whistle, this year since Hardwick took over we have been saying rebuilding, new game plan, new players, new coach's and the like, but some people must think we are still saying top 4 because they are all coming out defending Hardwick, the players, the game plan etc... When really there is no need to, we know where we are at and we just need to go for the ride now until we get there.

One thing that damien has to look at is how he presents at the aftermatch. I think the coach needs to have a look at his last attempt. He looked like he was chewing gum and I was surprised the by lack of intensity. More intensity please damien and dont chew gum have a can of coke if you need to - and atleast show alittle more aggression. Otherwise he did ok. Did the best he could with what we had. Its gonna take him 2 years to fix it and put it right, how long after the 2 years to make us successful I dont know.

I was referring to the bloke who has a premiership, he is on a pretty good planet dontcha think?  The one making the statement.  The one in a strong side looking like they will be playing finals again this year reassuring us to have faith in Hardwick.
So if rocket scientist Sam says we'll be crap for the next 10 years you'd believe him because he's a premiership player lol

I expect we will finish last and will be luck to win more the a couple of days - its whats expected.

14 new kids - I will be happy if we put some time into developing our young list to play the game we need to play to be competitive. The more we play the kids the better in my book, we will see whos worth keeping and whos not. You need about 20 games usually before most kids take a step up.

I am convinced we have people who dont follow the Tiges on this site who just love taking the P. They just  bitch and sook but never offer anything contructive. The solution is to sack everyone burn down punt road, blah blah. I belive we just have to suck it up for the next few years and pray that we stick to the rebuilding plan and maybe look at the positives.

Like the kids who played their first game showed promise.IMHO

What Sam Mitchell is saying is that we have the tools to become a better playing group,
if they learn to play games together & learn each others ability which in turn grows confidence, then they will carry & dispose of the ball better & move it quicker
His correct in saying they were once like us but also they had a few more senior players & a Brownlow medalist who never knew when to stop
We also have a Brownlow medalist & a coach that opposition players have great beleive in that helped carry them from the bottom to the ultimate glory.
We have found a player which l beleive is a ready made player with huge talent & when older players see that they lift that extra level which we so desperately lack
l can see some improvement this year & we will be unpredictable & thats what alot of club will fear
l think we have the right coach & once the other assistant coaches learn from him, that will be tranfered to the players who will get a bit cocky which is exactly what they need down there some cockyness & self beleive  :gotigers

well, FNM, if you feel the need to try and score points playing funny buggers, feel free to rub one out.  If you are genuinely confused, then, I will explain that I am not inferring he is right wrong or cockeyed or anything else for that matter.  Just that he is doing ok in football terms, in response to the question "what planet is he on?"

Not a bad planet all in all.
If you're happy with our skill level, I'm happy for you  :lol
Way to miss the point.  :thumbsup
I'm not missing any point
They're just words and if he seriously believes we'll be like them in three years then I'd like to see that.
We could be premiers five years in a row
Could, but more than likely not
Just words
How any of y ou can be excited by last week is beyond me
But I'm patient  ::)

maybe this is you (which is probably understandable)

if so, it may pay to step outside the waiting room for a bit.
Cause this will get worse before it gets better.

Or you can stick around, up to you really.

Not sure why anyone has to "Defend" Hardwick or anyone else at the club for that matter, if people don't understand where we are at the moment then perhaps we need to defend those people for being so effing stupid.

see this post is the "effing stupid" bit not the other one.
Being cynical or suspicious isn't stupid - it's probably fair call for some supporters who are fed up.
Maybe they need a rest from the tigers to "fall in love" again maybe not.
Their call.
Not stupid and not your right to call'em stupid. Stupid!!!

agree with this but i reckon the 14 new  kids bit is a bit of a furphy. of those 14 roberts 23 webberley 21 polak 26.nason 20 and farmer 21 all sort of scream out ready to go picks. well one would hope so anyway especially when you look at the type of player they are. mostly smalls who you want clicking around  age 20. geez even the irish project is a 20 yr old.

all i ask out of all of this is we do not persevere with underperforming senior players.  they either perform or play at coburg no more second chances or excuses for them. they are the problem and the line must be drawn in the sand with them.
they have to know they are expected to perform at a decent level and no excuses will be tolerated.

the seniors turning 23 or more this yr are. cousins 32, deledio 23, foley 25, graham 23, jackson 24, king 26, mcguane 23, mcmahon 27, moore 26, morton 23, newman 28, polak 26, polo 24, simmonds 32, tambling 23. thomson 23, thursfield 24, tuck 28, white 23,
19 players how many are very good. how many are core list. sheesh how many have been consistant. how many have truly established themselves as at least core list players. how many dont have at least one chronic weakness, how many have shown themselves as genuine leaders.

nope the kids are not the problem not even the ones who ultimately dont make it. the real problem lies with the mentioned 19. the ledership apart from a handful is crap.its this more than anything that will see us finish last again.

Well it's obvious that you just have no idea of what I was saying, maybe supporters like you need to finally GET THE stuff OVER the days of Geish, Frawley and Wallace. It's not about falling in love mate it's about realising where we are which is rock bottom and moving on. I have followed the Tigers for 34 years don't you think I have seen enough. Yes I have but not enough of what Hardwick is going to do.

Now lets just sit through the labour!! Stupid!!!
