Kings vs Clokes lol
« on: March 06, 2010, 02:58:24 AM »
Last year's game obviously wasn't forgotten by some yesterday  :lol

-------------------------------------------
From the Pies BF board: (hence the Pie bias)

Anyway onto the highlight of the day, who saw the near fight after the game?? ??

Pretty much after the brawl in which that little rat King got mauled by Cloke, he ran off to the applause of the Richmond faithful (shows how desperate they are). Anyway as he was lapping it up a fellow pie supporter called him a dog which is quite understandable lol, little did he know that King's whole bogan family was right there, this made them very very angry, tempers were rising. Anyway as the match ended words were banded around by the bloke who called King a dog and another supporter. King's dad thought he would be a hero and start on the bloke who called his son a dog. Now it gets better, sitting right there was the big fella, David Cloke. Big Cloke stuck up for this supporter copping it from King's dad, King's dad then mentioned Trav Cloke, I didn't hear exactly what he said, It was enough to make Big David go mental, he had to be restrained by 3 people or else Jake King's dad would've got his head knocked off . A scuffle broke out but nothing serious, but bookmark this, next time we play Richmond Cloke vs King is ON!!!!

lol. David Cloke is a greedy fat bastard lol. Left us in early 80s for Pies. Then we give him another chance in late 80s. Then he tells his 3 sons not to go to Richmond. Well at least he helped us there  8)

Like him or loathe him, David Cloke was a brilliant player for the RFC.

Same can't be said for Jake King.

david cloke proved himself to be an a-hole, I mean how many captains walk out on their club  ???...and after all we did to extend his career, you would have thought he would have done everthing to repay the debt :o

That might be true Mr Magic but no one in the last 20 years has shown as much heart as Jake King.
I know heart doesn't win you flags but it does count for something when you are in a 30 year premiership drought. As a supporter at least there's something to cheer for.

That's a little unfair FNM. There's nothing wrong with cross breed dogs and I'm sure many would resent that comparison.

He helped win us two premierships bo, doesn't that count for anything?
Unless you know the precise circumstances of his departure you'd do well not to disrespect a Richmond champion in such manner. There was a massive fallout at the club around that time and many players were extremely disgruntled at Tigerland.
All that matters is DC was a tremendous player for the Richmond Football club and what he did/does do after that won't change my opinion of him one iota.
In fact I couldn't give a eff about his sons, wife or moustache. It was his performances on the park at Richmond that mattered and on that front he delivered in spades.

That might be true Mr Magic but no one in the last 20 years has shown as much heart as Jake King.

By 'heart' you mean willingness to go the biff? I've seen plenty with more with courage over that time.
Kingy tries hard but he is a reserve grade footballer. We are going nowhere whilst he is in our best 22.
In 30 years time no one will even remember him.
