It seems we are paying only 92.5% with alot of upfront loading coming into play. We also have a number of blokes on decent enough pay packets who should be leaving the club like McMahon, Simmonds, Tuck maybe even Cousins. Then theres a group of player who would be well remunerated who shouldnt be at the club if we want to be serious contenders, players like Jackson, Newman, Thursfield, McGuane, Moore, Polak,King, Thomson, White and maybe even Foley should be looked at because he has become injury prone.
None of these players draw people to the footy. Richmond supporters need a reason to go to the footy. IMO Richmond should throw whatever weight we have around at the end of the year. The Gold Coast carnage will hit alot of clubs and in that confusion of players leaving, Richmond should be trying to attract atleast 2 players to the club- 1 of whom should be considered a star. Gold Coast are reportedly coughing up $1.5 million a year for Ablett alone, they will have some cap issues of their own. Maybe we can take advantage of that!
