Just shocked and blown away at the reactions in this thread.

Hardwick changes:
- Post was down back and up on the wing at times.
- Morton had a run on the ball and up the ground.
- Nahas was chipped and changed from middle to forward
- Riewoldt was seen down back for a preiod of time and had a spoil and tackle.
- Hislop got his hands on it in defensive half.

Nothing game changing but who on earth is going to play forward against Lake Morris and co? Hardwick has guts anyone who persists with King in the forward line has a heap of patience and good on him for putting his rep on the line to try new things.

Riewoldt. Wow. Lets just put the knives back in the drawers should we mention Richo's set shots. Jack is a lead up forward we can't rely on him to kick 7+ goals each week. Jono Brown and Nick Riewoldt doesn't do it every week. Fev has missed more than he's kicked this year. Riewoldt will be better than the likes of Cloke, Neagle etc. Although no1 is safe when it comes to upgrading at the trade table.

Post first game of the year and has he played more than 10 games? Let him play.

Just need to get our tall kids in the side, especially up forward.

Will say this. Nahas wont make it.
Plays scared.
His option to tap the ball in the ball in the first quarter and not grab it boarded on Auskick stuff.
Also Hardwick needs to do 2 things in upcoming weeks.
When we have a possesion, have structure to kick to, am sick and tired with having everyone behind the ball which happened last night , teaches the YOUNG KIDS NOTHING.- Wallace did this and its ugly football and teaches players zip
Watch Melbourne , the past 2 weeks game they have kept players inside F 50.
Footy isnt a hard game.
Secondly. the amount of tackles last night was pathetic. -43.   :banghead :banghead

We usually bag the players but here is a decent whack!
D. Hardwick.
ONLY positional change for the night was putting Simmonds are forward in the last 10 minutes of the game when he was completely SPENT.
How on earth can you play the same 6 players inside F50 and D50 for the entire game has got me beat.- especially when your getting FLOGGED
Then coached the second half from the bench and took notes and looked at the laptop the guy beside him was holding. ::) ::) ::)
Will say this, both B.Scott and D. Hardwicks coaching efforts this weekend were terrible.
We had players in the first quarter who""patsy caked "" the ball instead of grabbing it and taking punishment from the opposition and they werent even dragged.
Thats Auskick stuff :banghead
NEVER EVER want to see Nahas again either. Schoolboy footballer

Jack, what part of Hardwick's pre-season message did you listen to?  He is doing exactly what he said he would do - take the whole team back to square one, learn the simple defensive mindset needed to underpin his eventual gameplan, and then move forward in small steps as each one is learned - no deviation from that plan.  And what are we seeing?  Exactly that - gameplan kept to it's most simplistic, defence first, and no panic measures before during and after games.  Breath of fresh air for our club to be not chasing rainbows and showing the patience to do the hard yards instead.

Just finished watching the replay on Foxtel.- AGAIN !
the entire last quater we played a 16 man defensive zone, with 2 players sitting in the centre square.
If thats teaching young players to play football, its a disgrace I am afraid.
Also Nahas kick to Connors where he broke his ribs should see Nahas down at Coburg for the next month.
You people are deluded.

DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

No, its about a footy club going backwards who kicked 9 goals in Round 1, 7 goals in round 2. which the club say there in a ""transition stage ""
Yep, by playing everyone beyond the ball last night , transition stage my arse.
3AW today, the experts are worried about what will happen to our proud club.
They are saying we are the next Fitzroy
With the draft now compromised and with our list riddled with midgets.

Now Ox, how is your ego and profie ??????

Smokey Ol Fella

This is a professional sport as you well know. You improve players & set thier goals at the lower level.  Get them to carry out their roles at that level & improve thier skill level, Confidence, & Strength. Most players these days are ready made coming through TAC or interstate Senior clubs. Sadly for us that level is the VFL Coburg side which has many AFL senior players who cant even beat Non Affiliated sides or even win thier set roles for the day. Players dont even wanna put in at that level or wanna be there.

Trying to do that at senior level is unprofessional & looks very ugly which of course we are seeing under every coach in the last 11 seasons even more.

Having kept senior players on the list & paying them huge money to play for Coburg & even the Coburg seconds is the most stupid thing l ever seen in football.

So having these players & playing skinny little lads that weigh below 78kgs & small in height when you have a player who is considered by the football people as in Richmond top 22 , Tuck who was one of our best performers last year is absolute craziness not playing him.
Tuck would solve our forward problem & can kick goals, has muscle & height, l just dont get it do you

No I was just listening to David King

Ahhh yes David King - who for some strange reason really did side step (massive steps actually) taking any responsibility for the state of the list and lack of skill of some blokes after his time at the club

I think one of his comments was something like "Richmond blokes just aren't just average kicks they are poor kicks"
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

from the song "Don't Walk Away" by Pat Benatar 1988 (Wide Awake In Dreamland)

No I was just listening to David King
And I was referring to your constant criticism of the club
You're doing the club no favours
We have to deal with where we are, not jump on the media bandwagon who would want nothing more than our demise.
They criticise us, you criticise us, in the end everyone critises and starts agreeing that we should be out of business
It would be nicer if people were more encouraging rather than sticking the boot in at every single opportunity
Like a list full of young kids you don't get stuck into them every mistake they make, you encourage
Or am I wrong?
