Caro said Lids is earning well above the odds thanks to the new contract he signed. A common problem at bottom sides. Healy reckons Lids must be in $500k+ for Richmond to meet the salary cap minimum of 92.5%.

Healy believes the minimum of the salary cap should be reduced from 92.5% down to 80% to better reflect where bottom sides are at compared to a Geelong. The 92.5% minimum was brought in to prevent Fitzroy exploiting low salaries just to survive. That situation no longer exists.

Healy finds it odd that Lids stood aside and allowed Cotchin to be captain on the weekend.

Russell brought up Cotch's dad saying pre-draft that he didn't want Cotch going to West Coast given their poor off-field culture and that has come back to bite him given the off-field drinking and punch-up culture at Richmond.

Healy said Simmo should play deep forward to provide that bigger body for Riewoldt and Morton to play around.

perhaps he doesn't watch simmo play. he's useless upforward.  shouldn't play at all, let alone forward.

i dont think deledio is soft, i think he is just afraid to take the game on like a judd or ablett in fear of making a mistake, he always takes the safe option rather than back his skill, pace and self
