Rounds 7-10
« on: April 26, 2010, 08:18:41 PM »
These are the games where we may be able to get the four points.

Round 7 - Adelaide
Round 8 - Hawthorn
Round 9 - Essendon
Round 10 - Port Adelaide

Even if we only won 1 of these, it'd be a big boost for our kids.

You don't think we can beat Essendon or Adelaide?  I reckon we have a shot.

I don't think he really cares. He watches Richmond on his tv because he can't be bothered going to the games. You could say he barracks for the Tigers as a hobby but he doesn't really care if they win or not and he doesn't really know the capabilities of our young list for the future  :o. He's also 120kg and 5'11" and he kicks like a sissy  8)

MT, you're on the other side of the spectrum.  Your endless optimism makes me want to put a bullet in my head sometimes.

Essendon is our best chance of a win.
Going into our round 9 game with the Bombers there could be one win for the season between the sides.
Could be an end for Matty Knights.

Yep - they cant stop a run on. If we can put 2 quarters together like we did against freo in the 1st we will beat Essendon. Knights isnt a long term coach IMHO. Did his best and is now being found out IMHO.

Beating them Bombers would be nice. They are bloody awful at the moment and I reckon they wouldnt come back at us like Freo did, they would lay down.

All 4 teams will get beat before the week we play them.
We will get them on the rebound.
Also 2 games in 4 weeks at AAMI, forget it,  hope we win, reality we wont

If the Crows lose the derby next week both us and the Crows will be 0-6 going into our game in Round 7.

There will be more pressure on Adelaide than us going into this one even though I expect Adealise to win well as they regularly do against us.

Yeah, that's the general idea with bad sides.  The same argument could be said for them facing us.  ;)

No one wants to be the first side to lose to us.

Can remember 2001 when Freo just kept on losing and beat Hawthorn at the Dome in Round 18 after leading by 40 points. The microscope and embarassment Hawthorn were subjected to was huge to say the least.

A win will be great and cherished the pressure ultimately is on the opposition to get the win as there will be no games this year we will go in as favourites.
