Who would be our one untouchable player?
« on: April 28, 2010, 07:10:01 PM »
There was talk on 3aw just before that each existing AFL club may be able to name one untouchable player that GC17 and GWS couldn't poach.

Who would be chosen as our most untouchable player if this came in?

Cotchin is signed

Deledio is signed

Martin would be at least signed until the end of next season, although historically Richmond have given their 1st round picks 3 year deals

Actually think any of those 3 would be the "untouchables"

But seeing they are signed I would probably say one of the KPP youngsters in Astbury or Griffiths

According to our OER list the following are out of contract at the end of the season...

Connors, Cousins, Edwards, King, Graham, Hislop, McMahon, Moore, Polo, Post, Riewoldt, Simmonds, Tambling, Thomson, Tuck, Vickery, White

Far more of them should be going than staying. Jack would be ahead of the few survivors from that list at this stage despite his shocker against Freo. Vickery probably next in line given our lack of ruckmen especially with Simmo likely to retire.

Well here is my list out of OE's out of contract players that should be looked at for trade to the GC17:

Connors, Edwards, King, Graham, Hislop, McMahon, Polo, Post, Thomson, Tuck, White

Unless Edwards can play the rest of the season like he did against Freo than no point persisting with him, we have done that for long enough. Connors unfortunately will always be a problem child off field, Polo can't even get on the park.. he has really let himself down. Post.... what a waste so far but I hope he turns it around and the rest, well they have had their chances.

Martin, Jack. Astbury and Griffiths need to be signed up. Would be good if can trade someone like king or Hislop to GC for draft picks

They're struggling to get a game in the weakest Richmond team in years. Ain't going to happen.

From this list our untouchables would go in this order

Connors, Cousins, Edwards, King, Graham, Hislop, McMahon, Moore, Polo, Post, Riewoldt, Simmonds, Tambling, Thomson, Tuck, Vickery, White:

Vickery
Riewoldt

*Daylight*

Post
Tambling
Connors
Polo
Moore
Edwards

And jam tin the rest.
