Waht's the difference PL?
 We get smashed regardless.
So why, then do we make allowances for special cases.
Jak gets treated as though he is already the new Richo but he aint "jak" :wallywink, let alone 'Cho.

He/We would be better served with a week or 3 at the magoos.

it's not as though his inclusion plays a pivotal role in victory.

ur kidding.
There isn't that much seperating Morton and Riewoldt.
Jak has wasted shots on goal, cracked the poos and pulled the wool over your eyes with his
ability to appear relevant.
Isn't this year about seeing who want to stand up on a weekly basis?
Jak layed down last week and is rewarded with another selection.
Morons
Not referring to mwah? I was serious! I am really pizzed he didn't get dropped for that nonchalant effort.

Kinda pleased to see that Dea hasn't got the chop yet.  Wouldn't be surprised if Dimma plays the kids for three games minimum.  If they make any sort of impact in those three games, they get another.  If they fail to deliver anything, then after three they go back.

Be interesting to see what happens at the selection table next week. I reckon we might be due for a debutant.

No real surprises with the ins. Thankfully Hislop and White didn't come in.

I'd reckon you're right Muscles. Looks like Dimma is going to give the newbies a fair crack at it at AFL level before judging them.

I'm happy with the 3 talls up forward even if they're inexperienced. It's a better structure up forward to encourage long kicking at Kardinia Park rather than being forced to work our way chipping around the boundary.

I'm looking forward to seeing Alex Rance confidently approach an overhead mark.  He doesn't have to take one, just so that he competes for some.

As long as we play positive footy and don't stop trying I'll be happy. It was only against effectively a Geelong 2nds but our youngsters should have gained a bit of confidence from the preseason win at Yea.

I think Matty Dea is alright, people need to remember that he is playing in a defence where the ball is constantly being pumped in there.

He is a good athlete and a bit of a hard nut, give the kid a chance and i think he will be a beauty.

People are expecting too much from our team in my opinion, we are Rebuilding not on the verge of a Premiership.

mortons been warned several times in games about team rules, didn't adhere and suffered accordingly. Jack had a shocker and was petulant but hasnt been a repeat offender if he does it again I'm sure he'll get time at coburg.

I like the way hardwick is playing the youngsters. What most lowly clubs have been doing is giving youngsters blocks of 3-5 games regardless of form, then giving them feedback on what they need to work on, then sending them back to the reserves to work on those deficiencies. Once they've shown they have rectified them they are given another block of games and at the end of that block again, if warranted, they are dropped and told what deficiencies to work on again and so the development goes(some players take longer than others). Obviously some players are born ready and guns from day 1, but by and large most"rebuilding" clubs follow this philosophy see eagles, melbourne, freo carlton and the club which took fast tracking development to a new level of professionalism and accountability - hawthorn

That sounds too reasonable approach Tony, can't we do the Jackster approach where we tar and feather our new draftess as soon as they make a few mistakes.

Good post tm. The break between blocks also gives young bodies a "rest" from the intensity and rigours of AFL level so they aren't worked into the ground too soon before their body can cope.

If Cotch and Martin have nothing too serious then they'll probably be back next week. So everyone this week knows they need to show something otherwise they'll be out.

Answer me this.
When Morton plays what could be described as a questionable game,he is dropped.
Last week Jak Reiwoldt was downright disgraceful and an embarassment to the jumper yet is named in the starting line up.

Double Standards Hardwick.?
Good call/bad call?
Good call  :thumbsup

More like Bad call.

Morton was awful against Sydney AND Melbourne before being dropped while Jack was a shining light against Melbourne but was awful last week.  If he is awful again I'd expect him to come under the pump but you have to consider more than one week when considering these things, especially with young KPPs.  They can't be up all the time.
