We need to kick to our talls on the 50m mark, not the oppositions

True but Graham/Vickery will get done by Hille/Ryder or any other competition rucks most of the time in a marking contest. And our defensive talls are generally spoilers who give away a few inches.
Not really, the opposition will always move into a zone defence, so you can place your talls where you want really and they don't necessarily go up against a ruckman.

That's why I always like Neil Craig's strategy that you get your two best marking talls and have them sit near where the 50m line hits the boundary. There's usually only one opposition there as part of the zone and your talls should easily be able to ourmark the solitary defender.

Once you have it there, you only need a quick midfielder to be near by to receive the ball and with another long kick you will be over the defensive zone and on the fast break towards your forward line.
