DIRECTOR'S REPORTThe Directors present their report on the consolidated entity
consisting of Richmond Football Club Limited and the entity
it controlled at the end of, and during, the year ended 31
October 2004.
DIRECTORSThe following persons held office as Directors of the
Richmond Football Club Limited ("the Club") during the
whole of this financial year and up to the date of this report.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIESThe principal continuing activity during the year of the
consolidated entity constituted by the Club and the entity it
controlled was the playing and promotion of Australian Rules
Football and there were no significant changes in the nature
of this activity during the year.
CONSOLIDATED RESULTSThe net loss of the consolidated entity for the year ended 31
October 2004 was $2,194,974. No provision for Income Tax
was necessary, as the Club is an exempt sporting
organisation in accordance with section 50-45 of the Income
Tax Assessment Act 1997.
DIVIDENDSThe Constitution of the Club specifically prohibits the
payment of any dividends to any members.
REVIEW OF OPERATIONSAn outline of the key events and their impact on the Club's
operations during 2004 is set out in the accompanying
President and Treasurer's reports.
MATTERS SUBSEQUENT TO BALANCE DATESubsequent to balance date and as discussed in Note 1(a) to
the financial statements the following matters have arisen:
(a) The ANZ Bank has renewed is credit facilities with the
Club;
(b) The AFL has committed to ongoing assistance in the
form of an extended redirection order; and
(c) The AFL has confirmed that access to the Competitive
Balance Fund could be provided if the Club was to
make an application, and should certain conditions be met.
LIKELY DEVELOPMENTS AND EXPECTED RESULTS OF OPERATIONSInformation on the likely developments and expected results
of the Club's operations is set out in the accompanying
President and Treasurer's Reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONThe club has assessed whether there are any particular or
significant environmental regulations which apply to it and
has determined that there are none.

DIRECTORS' INDEMNIFICATIONThe Club entered into insurance arrangements concerning
all the Directors, but not the auditor, of the Club. The Club
paid insurance premiums of $15,000 in respect of a contract
insuring each of the Directors against liabilities and
expenses arising as a result of work performed by them to
the extent permitted by law.
