They only post goalkickers and bests after the game is finished. It should be near the end of the game now.

Postie was brilliant today, playing mainly at Full Forward. He lead well and his marks just kept sticking, he is still very raw as player i feel but with some added muscle is going to be a very good player in the next few years.

Browne was also brilliant in the ruck and around the ground. Did well when resting up forward also.

No dont even bring any of them back until they wanna show interest in the Coburg jumper, show consistant form & show huge improvement in the tasks they lack at AFL level.

NO MORE FREE RIDES, make them all fight for the spots they really want

You mean make them show the same passion our captain did today - the same one who embraced the jumper a fortnight ago?  Just like his interview in the paper today, the pride in the jumper is what our guys are learning all over again - and I love it.  Today's game was pivotal for a few reasons but the most important was that games played in these conditions are only ever won by courageous, tough and disciplined footballers, regardless of the level of competition.  And we showed that in spades today.  Don't underestimate the relevance or importance of today's win - we might not win multiple games in a row but our kids will take a shedload of positive learning from this game.  Our discipline in sticking to the rules of wet weather football for 4 quarters was outstanding today - shows we are capable of, and learning to, stick to the team rules.

l didn't see any AFL games today ol Smokey, & not been home a hour yet so just reading some game reports.
Watching Melbourne vs Geelong now but going to crash in my bed soon its been a long cold day at the footy ;D
Sounds like l'm going to enjoy the replay. But yes a captain must lead by example & the others will embrace it.
So will the supporters cause take one look at you, you have already embraced his actions

Round 7 Match Report
Coburg Tigers website

SENIORS

After a week off due to the state game ,we ventured out to NAB oval to try and get our 2nd win of the year:

We got off to another slow start and we went into the first break 3 goals down.

We regrouped in the 2nd and kicked 5 goals to 2. Mitch Morton and Jayden Post were taking strong marks and kicking accurately.

Both sides kicked 4.2 in the 3rd quarter and going into the last quarter 1 point down the feeling around the group was that we could take this out.

It was basically goal for goal in the final quarter and at the siren we suffered our 4th loss under 10 points for the year.

Goals:Post 4, Morton 4, Lawton 3, Piuselli 2, Jordon, Taylor
Best: Post, Morgan, Morton, Rance

Bullants:               6.2         8.5          12.7        16.9
Coburg:                3.0          8.4          12.6        15.9

RESERVES

We also got off to a slow start in this game and it’s something we need to eradicate out of our performances.

We then managed to peg them back in the 2nd and go into the main break 3 points up

A massive transformation game over the game and we kicked 13 goals to 3 in the 2nd half and ended up having a comfortable win and are 5th on the ladder.

It was pleasing to see Ryan Allan back for his first game of the year and missing with a broken foot.He was a focal target up forward and his marking was a highlight.

Relton Roberts looked dangerous after missing 2 weeks and Christian McErlain was solid after missing 3 weeks after doing his hamstring.

Tom Lucin had 33 possessions playing high half forward and once again Nic Cattapan was dangerous with 31 touches and 10 Inside 50’s.

Goals: Allan 4, Westhoff 3, Roberts 2, Dennis 2,  Lucin 2, McErlain, M.Ambrose, Jakobi, Smith, Contin, Bisetto
Best: Allan, M.Ambrose, Cattapan, Contin, Hicks

Next week:
Reserves play at Vic Park Collingwood against Sandringham 11am Saturday June 5th

Seniors play at Windy Hill Essendon against Bendigo 2pm Sunday June 6th
