I think we can win today (famous last words) *grimaces, puts fingers in ears, waits for comment to blow up in face*

16 degrees, windy and bucketing down with rain. So it's going to be a slog by the sound of it.

Wayne Campbell on ABC 774
We think we've progressed this year. Our poor peformances aren't as poor as earlier in the season (last week was poor but it was 5 goal loss as opposed to 10 goals in the first few rounds). Defensive key indicators are up. Ball pattern movement is becoming more evident but still a long way to go.
Not a great day for a big forward to make his debut but we just want Griffiths to contest and get as many games into him over the next couple of years.
Hoping Port run out of legs after their trip to Darwin but you've got to be in the game at 3/4 time to make use of that. Haven't really focussed on it to be honest.
A more running side is just the way the game is going. He likes having 4 runners on the bench as the game has got quicker.
Players who have stood up this year? Newman and Cotchin.

Port have the breeze. We need to stay with them.

Wet conditions in a heavy slog and bog won't help Port after last week.
Nahas misses early on. Blow the siren up by a point.

Playing well into the breeze. Dominating. Maybe we should play in the wet every week. Today makes Moorabbin in the 80's look like a bowling green.

The Richmond Ducks Tucky
Lucky there. Farmer slipped over but thankfully the Port player kicked it OOTF.

Great play by Edwards and Tambling to block Chad Cornes force a ball up and create the initial sequence which led to a Nahas goal. Up 14-0 into the breeze.
