Craigieburn: Did Richmond beat Essendon to the punch?
« on: June 02, 2010, 08:27:24 PM »
With Essendon considering a move away from Windy Hill, it made me think that if the RFC hadn't set up a second base in the growth corridor of Craigieburn then the Bombers could've and probably would've considered moving up north of the Broady line not too far away from their traditional home. Instead the Bombers seem left with the choice of Essendon Airport or the Showgrounds which are already settled urban areas.

i thought as much to, however Id think their base would ideally be closer to the CBD than Craigieburn is...showgrounds or ess airport would be pretty good options if they can be developed
