There are two ways to do a "quote" from scratch. The first is to click on . This will give you the begin and end quote "tags"
Code: [Select]

Alternatively you can just type the tags in yourself.

ok from there just place whatever text you want to quote between the
Code: [Select]
and
Code: [Select]
like so
Code: [Select]
This is a quote
.

Now if you quoting another poster's message this is done automatically for you and you just need to edit the text (delete unwanted parts).

Code: [Select]
Billy Nicholls should make a comeback
If you want to get fancy you can have quotes from multiple posters in one post. The easiest way is to have two windows. One for your message and the other to extract the other posters' messages. So for instance if you want to refer to 2 posters at the same time, quote one person's message using the button belonging to their post, cut/copy the text and paste it into the second window (your post). Then go back to the thread and quote using the button belonging to the second person's post. Then cut and paste that text below the first one in the second window. Finally type in whatever message you want to say and post.

Code: [Select]
Billy Nicholls should make a comeback

Billy was a supreme athlete
We want Billy back!
